Conditions for the award of a scholarship

  • Candidates must be deserving students or researchers. They must submit to the Foundation a written application, including all documents supporting their academic career and personal background, a curriculum vitae and a description of the project for which they seek the Foundation’s support. They must also indicate whether or not they have applied for and/or received support from other public or private organisations and, if so, the amount and duration of such support.

  • The minimum level of training of applicants is the Master’s.

  • Financing of a period of study or research must not exceed the latter’s usual duration, save under exceptional circumstances. In addition, the renewal of a scholarship from one year to another is possible only upon presentation of an entirely satisfactory report from the establishment where the study or research is being undertaken.

  • A scholarship may be withdrawn by the Foundation Council in the event of misuse, cheating or any other occurrence justifying withdrawal.

  • Decisions with respect to award or withdrawal are not subject to petition or appeal.

  • Beneficiaries are entitled to no non-public information concerning the Foundation.

  • Applications must reach the Foundation by 31 March prior to the academic year for which the scholarship is required.
