The project in brief

Switzerland’s first self-service cycle service was launched on 26 June 2009 on the UNIL-EPFL campus.

Initiated by the EPFL, the UNIL and the EPFL Students’ Foundation, this network, set up initially on the campus, immediately spread to Morges, Lausanne and Vevey.

Velopass: 11 stations and more than 70 bikes

The holders of UNIL Campus Card and EPFL Camipro cards can benefit from 3 hours’ free use of a bicycle.
It’s possible to loan and return a bike at 12 stations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, (except for the following stations: Place de l'Europe and Renens Railway Station, times are indicated below).

  • Quartier de l'Innovation
  • Place Alan Turing
  • Rivier
  • Avenue Picard
  • Sorge
  • Unil Centre
  • Dorigny
  • Idheap


3 stations in Lausanne and Renens

  • Place de l'Europe, Lausanne
  • Ouchy, Lausanne
  • Place du Marché, Renens

You can also download the free "velopass" application on your smart phone.
 

Opening times:

Place de l'Europe
15 April - 31 October: every day 8am – 6pm
1st November - 14 April : Mon-Fri 8am – 5pm, Sat 10am – 5pm, Sunday and bank holidays: closed


To access other network’s stations, you must take out a velopass subscription (regiopass Lausanne-Morges).

How to register

To benefit from the "Velopass" service, you must be the holder of a validated Campus Card or Camipro card.

Registration is possible only from a computer connected to the Unil or EPFL IT network

  • Click on this link: register
  • Select "University of Lausanne" from the drop-down list.
  • Type in your username and password (the same as for your UNIL email).
  • Then follow the instructions.
