Description, aims and objectives

HEC Lausanne, the Business and Economics Faculty of the University of Lausanne, trains the leaders and managers of tomorrow. Now over a hundred years old, it prides itself on values of excellence, responsibility and international openness.

The Faculty holds several international agreements and features prominently in world rankings for the quality of its academic programmes and its research. It also benefits from the attractiveness and economic dynamism of the Geneva region, while being located in an exceptional setting on the shores of Lake Geneva.

With its own international relations office and careers centre, the Faculty smoothes the transition into the world of work by offering international exchange programmes, work placements and jobs to its students. Throughout the year, the large number of student associations affiliated to the Faculty organise varied activities, fostering the personal development of students and encouraging them to get involved in the life of the campus.

Its network of alumni, whose numbers include many notable personalities and business leaders, is a veritable platform for exchange. It offers the possibility of establishing professional contacts which will be valuable at the end of the student’s studies.
