The Bioinformatics Core Facility (BCF) is a research and service group of the University Hospital Lausanne (CHUV/UniL) and the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics.
Our core activity provides the statistics and bioinformatics / computational expertise for projects at the interface between genomics technologies and medical-clinical sciences or molecular biology basic and applied research. We have experience in particular in the application of classic and new genomics technologies to problems of clinical importance, such as development and assessment of the validity of biomarkers for diagnosis, prognosis and personalized treatment decision making for cancer and other diseases.
The BCF offers consulting, teaching and training, data analysis support and research collaborations for both academic and industrial partners.
