The FMEL (Fondation Maison pour étudiants de l'Université de Lausanne et de l'EPFL) manages 9 student's houses. The Fondation offers an accomodation possibility to the Cours de vacances' students:

•  a monthly rent accomodation: 900 CHF per month and 450 CHF from the 1st to the 15th of the month. You will find a complete offer on their website.
•  a deposit: 800 CHF has to be paid in advance. This deposit will be entirely reimbursed when you leave if your room is clean and no damage is recorded.

Conditions and reservations

Description : this is a flat-sharing reservation. Rooms are individual but the bathroom (shower and toilet), the kitchen and the living-room are shared. All rooms have an internet Wi-Fi connection.

• Reservation: the payment of the room (rent and garantie) has to be completed at least 15 days before your arrival.
• Condition : this offer is reserved to the students of the Cours de vacances. A copy of the confirmation of enrolment and payment given by the Cours de vacances must be sent to the FMEL.
• Departure : students cannot depart during the week-end or on a public holiday in Switzerland.
• Cost : see chart on the FMEL website (Tempo rate).

• Description : Planète bleue is close to the city center and consists of 10 flats of 4 or 5 rooms with mezzanine. Each flat has: 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 dining area and 1 living-room to be shared. The building has a big inner courtyard with cafeteria, table tennis and table football, a music room (with piano), a TV room and a laundry room.
• Cost for 3 weeks : 620 CHF (single room) or 870 CHF (double room), + tourist tax for 3 weeks : 30 CHF for one person (grant holders, salaried students, UNIL/EPFL guests and people domiciled in Switzerland are exempted from this tax). Internet Wi-Fi connection, complete bedding and weekly cleaning of appartment included in the rent.

• Description : for ladies only. 22 single rooms with washbasin and internet Wi-Fi connection. Bathroom with shower and toilet on each floor (3 floors). Shared kitchen, shared living-room with TV and DVD-player, garden with table tennis and table football. Near the city center, on the bus routes 9 and 12.
• Cost for 3 weeks : 650 CHF, breakfast and sheets included.

• Description : for ladies only. Single rooms with the option of adding a bed for an extra cost of 30 CHF a night. Shower, washbasin and toilet on each floor. Kitchens at your disposal, 2 living-rooms (smoking and non-smoking) with TV/video, bookshelf and piano in the non-smoking living-room. 2 telephone booths. Laundry and tumble-dryer. Near the station.
