Do you need a visa for Switzerland ?
Please enquire well in advance (2 to 3 months) at the Swiss Embassy or Consulate in your country to find out whether a visa is necessary or not.
The secretarial office of the Cours de vacances can produce an attestation de préinscription (pre-enrolment attestation, without any mention of the payment if you haven't paid yet) or an attestation d'inscription (enrolment attestation, with mention of the amount paid). It may help you in the process of getting your visa but the Cours de vacances cannot intervene otherwise for students.
If you are coming to Switzerland to study for one term or more, you can ask the Admissions Department directly : www.unil.ch/immat.
Click on the following link to have direct access to the information for obtaining the visa (more than 3 months stay).
The deadline approaches and you're still waiting for your visa
Let us know as soon as possible that your visa is still on hold ! That is, before the payment deadline.
In these exceptional circumstances, we can extend the validity of your pre-enrolment.
Your visa is refused ...
Please let us know as soon as possible.
1. If you haven't paid the fee, please cancel your pre-enrolment so that we can offer your place to someone else.
2. If you have already paid the fee, we will send you a "refund form" so that you can get your money back. Please note that we retain 50 CHF for administrative costs.
- no application for refund will be accepted after Tuesday the 21st of January 2014.
- All the refunds will be done at the same time at the end of March 2014.
