Current projects in atherosclerosis research

MRI is a non-invasive tool that can easily be repeated and with which important needs in atherosclerosis research can be addressed. In this context, our research effort is primarily focused on anatomical imaging of both the coronary lumen and the vessel wall, on molecular imaging of atherosclerotic plaque components, and on imaging of vascular function. These categories will by supported by a dedicated engineering effort.
