A post-doc position in Pain Research is available in the group of Prof. Isabelle Decosterd at the Pain Center of the University Hospital Center (CHUV) and University of Lausanne, Switzerland. We are looking for a talented and highly motivated individual with strong electrophysiology skills in the field of fundamental neuroscience.
The main aim of the research project is to identify new mechanisms of dysregulation of ion channels occurring in the context of experimental chronic pain. For further information, also about other ongoing projects, consult:
Applicants should have a Ph.D, with one to three years of postdoctoral experience. Competencies in patch clamp recording of excitable cells and animal experimentation are prerequisites. Experience in whole cell recordings in slice, optical methods and/or molecular biology/biochemistry will be an advantage.
The position will be available starting September 1st 2014, for one year initially with possible extension.
