MicroRNA analysis

Eukaryotic cells express hundreds of small non-protein-coding RNAs called microRNAs. These recently discovered molecules are major regulators of gene expression that bind to target mRNAs and inhibit their translation.
A panel of techniques has been developed to specifically analyze the level of microRNAs, to identify their mRNA targets and to study their involvement in pancreatic beta cell function and in neuroendocrine secretion.
