Founded in 1969, the Swiss Physiological Society has the following goals
Since 1988 the Swiss Physiological Society has met annually in fall with the aim to promote the identity of physiology as a scientific and teaching discipline. This one-day meeting is subdivised into a morning session dedicated to teaching issues and an afternoon session in which 10 of our younger physiologist present their work as an oral communication. A prize instituted in honour of Leon Asher and W.R. Hess (physiologists formely in Berne and Zürich) is awarded for the two best communications. |
