PhD position in plant biology

A PhD position is available at the laboratory of Prof. Yves Poirier of the Department of Plant Molecular Biology, University of Lausanne. The project is aimed at understanding the regulation and mode of action of the PHO1 protein in phosphate transport and the adaptation of plants to phosphate deficiency. The main models used in the laboratory are Arabidopsis thaliana and rice (Plant Cell 25: 4166-4182, 2013; Plant Journal 71: 479-491, 2012). The ideal candidate would have an experience in plant biology and molecular biology. Strong motivation is essential. The position is available starting in March 2016.
