Born on February 20, 1964 in Delémont, Jura, Switzerland.

2002 -
"Maître d'Enseignement et de Recherche", Department of Ecology and Evolution (DEE).

2000 - 2002
Research fellow (Swiss National Science Foundation) "Host specificity in parasitic mites (Spinturnix spp.) infesting Myotis bat species" and senior assistant at the Institute of Ecology.

1998 - 2000
Research fellow (Swiss National Science Foundation) "Parasitism in two sibling species of bats intimately coexisting in their colonial roosts".

1996 - 1997
Postdoctoral research fellow at Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris (Prof. A. P. Møller), and Dept. of Zoology, University of Extremadura, Badajoz (Prof. F. de Lope). Genetic and environmental components of phenotypic variation in immune response of a colonial bird, the house martin (Delichon urbica).

1995 - 1996
