Research interests
My general interests are in the field of ecology:
. The understanding of spatial patterning of sessile organisms on various spatial scales and their resultant consequences on ecosystem dynamic and coexistence of species.
. The development of tools (e.g. models, indicators,...) for biodiversity monitoring and management.
During my Ph.D, I analysed the links between plant spatial patterns and their biological traits from the plant neighbourhood to the landscape scale with an underlying aim of understanding their role in both community assembly and ecosystem functioning. This work was carried out within an anthropogenic system: the banks of channels deriving the river Rhône.
During my post-doc in the group of Antoine Guisan, I will work on improving predictions of climate change impact on the distribution of plant species and assemblages in Europe
But also at more local scale in the Alps.
