I am interested in evolutionary population genetics on humans and other animal species. During my previous research I have studied (i) the phylogeography of the human pre-historical colonization of the Americas, (ii) the evolutionary history of an intriguing rodent species (Cavia intermedia) and (iii) the genetics of a successful repatriation project with Galápagos giant-tortoises. Today, I’m focusing again on human evolution dealing with the in silico modeling of natural selection during the human spread throughout the World.
