Students at HEC Lausanne invent the city of tomorrow.
Students in the 3rd year of their Bachelor’s program at HEC Lausanne will be getting down to work imagining their ideal city when they come back in February, as part of an all-new course called “Cities of Tomorrow”, instigated by the city of Lausanne and its shopkeepers. The first course will run for 14 weeks (over a total of 14 mornings) and will examine the retail business, with over 30 invited speakers and experts from all backgrounds.
Prof. Felicitas Morhart receives the Park Award for Best Article
Professor Felicitas Morhart, from the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne, has just been awarded the 2017 Park Award for Best Article of the Year for her article published in volume 25 of the Journal of Consumer Psychology, in 2015. The prize was awarded at the Society for Consumer Psychology conference held in Dallas (United States) from February 15 to 17, 2018. The Faculty congratulates Prof. Morhart for the contribution, which enhances academic research in the marketing field.
Ten projects approved by the SNSF in 2017
Projects involving 11 researchers from the Faculty of Business and Economics at UNIL were selected for grant funding by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) in 2017. In total, the SNSF will provide over CHF 1.7 million in funding for the new projects, spread over several months or years, enabling the researchers to create a team and launch their project.
Prof. Jean-Claude Usunier awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Fribourg
Jean-Claude Usunier, an eminent Professor at the Faculty of Business and Economics at UNIL, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Fribourg at its 2017 Dies academicus ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, November 15.
New formula for the Master of Science in Management at HEC Lausanne
Students in the first year of the Master in Management offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics at UNIL can expect an entirely revamped program for 2017! Among the new features are a choice of new orientations, including one dedicated exclusively to the topic of Business Analytics. The reform is intended to build on and highlight teaching in an area where HEC Lausanne has developed a strong reputation, namely quantitative subjects and data analysis methodologies.
