The School of Biology belongs to the Faculty of Biology and Medicine and is principally responsible for teaching biology at the Bachelor and Master levels.
The School offers a generalist Bachelor in biology and three Masters whose thematics reflect the strengths of the research in biology of the University of Lausanne. The School of Biology is also responsible for the first year of the Bachelor in Pharmacy.
The School of Biology was created in 2003 and hosts more than 600 students. It collaborates closely with the Basic Sciences Section of the Faculty of Biology and Medicine and the University Hospital Center of Vaud (CHUV).
The University of Lausanne is situated in the heart of the French speaking part of Switzerland at the center of Western Europe. The picturesque landscape with views overlooking the Alps and Lake Geneva offers an enchanting setting for studies and research.
