How to Apply

The SUR Programme will be held from July 4th to August 28th, 2013.

The deadline for applications is January 31st 2013.

Results will be communicated mid March 2013.

The programme is aimed at undergraduate students who have completed the second or third year of their university degree in any biological or medical field. However, students at other levels may apply.

Students can be of any nationality and be studying in any country, but should have very good abilities in written and spoken English.

Students must be present for the entire programme to participate.

The programme is highly competitive and students are chosen based upon their academic record, personal statements, and letters of recommendation.

On-line application for the Summer 2013 is open until January 31st, 2013.

Transcripts

A listing of all courses with grades taken at the university level is required in our online application. In addition, an official PDF of your transcript in English, French or German must be emailed to sur@unil.ch, before the application deadline January 31st, 2013.

This document should be named in the following format:
"CandidateSurname_Transcripts.pdf"

Recommendation letters

In addition to the online application, you must arrange for two confidential letters of recommendation from people familiar with your academic work (e.g. professors). Please ask your referees to use the following letter template.

This form should be completed electronically and named in the following format:

"CandidateSurname_RefereeSurname_RecommendationLetter"

The document should be e-mailed directly by your referees to sur@unil.ch before the application deadline.
