The coordination office of the doctoral program in ecology and evolution does not handle any request for registration as PhD student or request for funding such as grants for conducting a PhD.
To apply for a PhD, you must first contact directly the group leader responsible for the lab you are interested in, and ask if he/she has a PhD position available. Eligible applicants must have a Master's degree or an equivalent in a subject related to ecology and evolution.
A diverse range of topics are studied by the laboratories participating in the program, the breadth of these can be seen by accessing the group leaders' web page linked on this site.
Only once the applicant is accepted as a PhD student in one of the participating labs of the 5 Universities, she/he has then the additional possibility of joining this doctoral program.
The graduate studies are carried out according to the rules of the 5 participating Universities. In addition to the graduate certificate of the University hosting the PhD student, a specific graduate study certificate is issued by the Ecology and Evolution Doctoral Program.
