Programme description: The aim of the "Geography" doctoral programme is to provide a framework for the acquisition of knowledge and know-how by young researchers. In particular, it presents knowledge and methods useful for the development of research projects undertaken by doctoral students with a view to obtaining the required support for their intellectual activity, encouraging the exchange of ideas and scientific cooperation, allowing the acquisition of scientific values and standards and developing expertise in communicating their research. |
Duration of the programme: The course generally lasts for three years but may be taken by advanced doctoral students over a period of one or two years only. The Doctoral School includes the opening day, six days spread over the whole year, in principle Friday, and three days of residential seminars in the spring. |
