Programme description:
The CUSO doctoral programme “Gender Studies” is a forum for scientific training and exchanges aimed at doctoral students working in a gender studies context. Following in the footsteps of the Lemanic Doctoral School (2002-2008) and the French-speaking Doctoral School of Gender Studies (2008-2011), the new doctoral programme is part of a dynamic to consolidate knowledge on a wider footing (institutional and disciplinary). This doctoral programme will enable us to achieve the following objectives:
- The CUSO doctoral programme provides an opportunity to gauge interdisciplinary contributions fundamental to gender studies.
- The envisaged modules propose a genuine forum for exchanges between doctoral students and colleagues more advanced in their careers, and will provide greater insight, both theoretical and methodological, into gender studies questions.
- The CUSO doctoral programme also facilitates networking among young researchers, not only at a regional level but also nationally and internationally.
- Sessions of the doctoral programme allow doctoral students to familiarise themselves with scientific communications and improve their ability to showcase their research, particularly through individual or collective publications.
