Programme description:

The Doctoral School of the Faculty of Biology and Medicine was created in 2003 to increase synergies at the interface of bioscience, medicine and human sciences research; it offers unique opportunities for interdisciplinary research, development of new technologies and translational research.

Nearly 700 doctoral students are currently enrolled in one of the five paths:

• Doctorate in Life Sciences (PhD)*
• Doctorate in Medicine and in Sciences (MD-PhD)*
• Doctorate in Neurosciences (PhD)*
• Doctorate in Nursing Sciences (PhD)
• Doctorate in Medicine (MD)

The doctorates marked with an asterisk are associated to a PhD program (mandatory) which covers the different research fields represented in the Faculty and includes: courses, discussion groups (also called: tutorials), mini-symposiums, series of seminars and conferences.

The School offers six PhD programs in Life Sciences.
