Programme description:
The Swiss Graduate Programme Ethnology/Anthropology is operating since 2003 as a joint venture of all universities in Switzerland with departments of Ethnology or Social Anthropology. It is integrated into the CUSO framework of graduate programmes.
The programme offers four to five thematic modules every year, which are organised by the departments involved taking turns, so that every participating institution hosts a module every two years. The modules generally are two-day seminars and take place mainly extra muros.

In general, two international experts are invited for every module. The backbone of the modules are the contributions of the doctoral students.

Participation in the program is open to all doctoral students in anthropology (social/cultural anthropology, and Ethnology) from all Swiss universities.
