The Symposium "The Next Generation in Gene Expression and More" is aimed to show and introduce at selected sites in Switzerland to you Applied Biosystems (AB's) and Ambions most recently developed tools and products for performing analysis of gene silencing, whole genome gene expression and sequencing, and high throughput genotyping.

Presentations include the performance of silencer select RNA technology in knock down gene expression analyses and the performance of the MagMax Express platform for extraction of RNA.

In line with RNA analysis, we would like to show the use of AB's Next Generation Sequencing system (SOLiD) for performing gene expression analyses of the whole transcriptome and for resequencing of the human genome for 10k $.

Finally, we would like to present the use of TaqMan SNP genotyping technology for analysis of 90000 SNP's per day with the Biotrove Open Array platform.
