UNIL is now a Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) member, which opens up opportunities for UNIL students to take their ideas forward and maybe attend the annual Clinton Global Initiative University meeting.
The Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) is aimed at engaging students around pressing global challenges in five focus areas:
Individually or in groups, students are invited to create a 'Commitment to Action' (or action plan) that address the topics listed above whether on campuses, in communities or in different parts of the world at small or large scale, short or long term and therewith attempt to be selected for the CGIU meeting next 06-08 March 2015 in Miami.
The CGI U meeting brings together students representing over 75 countries who share commitments to critical global issues. University representatives, topic experts, and celebrities will join students at CGI U to help them gain the skills and knowledge needed to take action on their commitments.
UNIL Students can apply for seed funding from UNIL (up to USD 1,000 per project) to take their idea forward in case of selection by CGIU (next deadline 14 November 2014).
