For the sixth consecutive year the LLM Programme of the Law Faculty of the University of Lausanne organizes a summer school with our US partner Widener University School of Law from 2-30 June 2014. This is a unique opportunity to spend part of the summer studying in English with colleagues from US universities on our beautiful campus in Lausanne and to take part in visits to the international organizations and other international institutions in the Lake Geneva area. This year the programmes includes courses on International Criminal Law (Power) (1 ABA credits = 2 ECTS), EU Single Market and Regional Trade Issuses (1 ABA credits = 2 ECTS), International Investment Law (1 ABA credits = 2 ECTS), Trading In and With Europe (1 ABA credits = 2 ECTS), and International Litigation and Arbitration (1 ABA credits = 2 ECTS).
Organisation
*The programme is free of charge for participants from the University of Lausanne (MLaw and LLM) but the number of available places is limited to ten per course.
*Other participants can either enrol with Widener University directly if they need US ABA Law School credits approval or apply to the University of Lausanne if they require a certificate of attendance with an indication of ECTS credits suggested. Please note that one credit of ABA-accredited US Law Schools equals two credits ECTS (European and Swiss system). The cost is 500 CHF (400 Euro) for 1 ABA credit (= 2 ECTS).
* Inscriptions can be accepted until 2 May 2014 by simple email to llm@unil.ch.
* Students will be notified by 9 May of whether they have been accepted for a course.
