Academics

As from October 2004, all Faculty courses will be organised according to the guidelines laid down in the Bologna process, a convention signed by 29 countries including Switzlerland, according to which a student will obtain a Bachelor of Science (BSc) after 3 years' study and the acquisition of 180 ECTS credits; a Master of Science (MSc) will be awarded after a further 4 semesters, provided the student has obtained the necessary 120 ECTS credits.

The study programme for the GSE Faculty will be organised as follow:

Under normal circumstances, the full study programme will extend over 10 semesters, corresponding to 300 ECTS credits. This can be sub-divided into two parts - Bachelor's and Master's - requiring respectively 6 and 4 semesters.
