HEC Lausanne: Twenty-six research projects secure funding in 2018
Twenty-six projects involving researchers from HEC Lausanne, University of Lausanne were selected for grant funding in 2018. The total support will amount to over CHF 20 million, spread over several months or years, and will enable the researchers to create teams while working on their projects. This funding recognizes the excellence of the scientific research carried out at HEC Lausanne.

The Fondation Leenaards has awarded a 2018 “Quality of life 65+” prize to Jürgen Maurer, Professor of Economics at HEC Lausanne, University of Lausanne, Alberto Holly, honorary professor in the same School and Carmen Borrat-Besson, Simon Seiler and Sarah Vilpert, who hold research positions at the Swiss Centre of Expertise in the Social Sciences (FORS). They were awarded the prize for their research project on “Healthy ageing and social participation of older people in Switzerland”, which will be incorporated into the Swiss version of the SHARE component study (Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe). HEC Lausanne congratulates the team on winning the prize, which will help them to further expand their research on ageing in Switzerland.
