Rouven Kuenze
Research
My research and working activities in the past years mainly dealt with hydrological and hydrogeological simulations. During my master studies and my final master thesis I focused on the numerical modelling of single phase flow and transport processes in confined and unconfined aquifers. My PhD topic addresses the multiscale simulations of multiphase flow using a multiscale-finite-volume method. Herby the main focus is placed on the simulation of density driven flow instabilities, which are mostly triggered by small scale processes.
Curriculum Vitae
After finishing my Master degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Stuttgart, Germany in the year 2008 I started working as a Junior Hydrologist at Hydrotec Engineering in Aachen. In October 2009 I changed to the Institute of Geophysics at the University of Lausanne where I started a PhD position on multiphase simulations.
