Early Travel Tips

Please take note that the conference is split between two venues, 1500 km apart. Most international carriers fly into the Johannesburg International Airport (ORT). It is advisable to book a ticket to Cape Town with a stopover in Johannesburg. There are also domestic carriers like SAA, BA and budget carriers such as Mango (www.flymango.com) and Kulula (www.kulula.com) that service the Johannesburg /Cape Town route, should you opt to fly to Johannesburg with your preferred airline. It must be noted that the second leg of the conference will start off with a fieldtrip to CBD of Cape Town. Delegates will be picked up at Stellenbosch and then at the airport for the fieldtrip. Depending on your arrival time it may imply waiting at the airport. (Note: If you plan to travel bu car from Johannesburg to Cape Town it will probably take you 14 hours)

Conference venue

The conference venue for the Johannesburg leg will be at the FNB Conference Centre in Sandton, Johannesburg (see: http://www.fnbconference.fnbweb.co.za) and in Stellenbosch it will be on the campus of the University of Stellenbosch (located in the centre of the town in walking distance to most accommodation, dining and other facilities)
