Spangeo II
SPANGEO II is a part of the heritage of the former SPANGEO project supported by National French Agency of research (2005-2008) - "Program Large Database" and the European Research group (Spatial Simulation for the Social Sciences).
The project aimed to study Spatial Networks in Geography, joining together Geographers and Computer scientists. They worked in a really inter-disciplinary matter and developped together some new kind of networks analysis and vizualizations in Geography.
They improved together the TULIP software in order to study large matrixes of geolocalized networks weighted graphs, multi-scales networks, and clustering. This group was organized by Céline Rozenblat and Guy Mélançon. The project has obtained the "highlight" reference of the "mass of data program" in its final results in 2008.
