PhD-students have to be registered at UNIL from the beginning until the end of their doctoral studies, meaning until the registration of their thesis at the Bibliothèque Cantonale et Universitaire.
You have obtained or will obtain a Master from a Swiss university or a Swiss university of applied sciences (HES) and you wish to start a doctorate at UNIL.
(Does not concern graduates from UNIL)
You have obtained or will obtain a Master issued by a Swiss university or a Swiss university of applied sciences (HES) or another Swiss university degree deemed equivalent by the Rectorate.
Students wishing to obtain a doctorate must be judged formally eligible for the doctoral programme by the Admissions Service.
They must in particular have a Master deemed equivalent by the Rectorate to a Swiss university or HES Master.
Candidates holding a Master degree from UNIL do not have to send a complete application. They only have to complete the PhD form provided by the Admissions Service (firstname.lastname@example.org) and have it signed by the thesis director.
This document must then be handed in to the Doctoral School or the Dean's Office for validation and returned to the SII by 15 October 2014 (autumn semester) or 28 February 2014 (spring semester).
In case the late application is accepted, the prospective student will have to pay a surcharge of CHF 200.-.
