Students at UNIL - Re-enrolment
Deadlines for the Bachelor and the Master programmes
Students who have been registered at the University of Lausanne have to submit a request for re-enrolment (“réimmatriculation”) and an updated CV to the Admissions Service before :
- 30 April (autumn semester)
- 30 November (spring semester)
The request form for re-enrolment (“réimmatriculation”)
Master programmes : students who wish to study in a Master programme of another faculty have to fill in the request form for enrolment (“immatriculation”).
Doctorates : you have obtained a Master degree at UNIL and wish to pursue your studies with a PhD-programme. For more information

Article 69a (subsection 1)
“A student who has already been registered at another university can be admitted to matriculation in a Bachelor programme or at the School of French as a Foreign Language (EFLE) providing he/she obtained at least 60 credits ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) during the last 6 semesters in a given programme; he/she may have obtained certificates proving equivalent results.”
Article 69b
“A student who has been excluded from another higher education institution on disciplinary grounds cannot enrol at UNIL”.
Article 71 (subsection 2)
“A student who is not authorised to continue his/her studies in another Swiss or foreign higher education institution cannot enrol in the same subject area or discipline at UNIL”
Article 72
“1. A student who wishes to change faculty has to fulfil the registration conditions and conditions of access to exams of his/her new faculty.
2. A change of faculty or programme is not authorised when one of the conditions mentioned in articles 69a or 69b of the present regulations applied by analogy is fulfilled.
3. A student excluded from a faculty at UNIL or another university, whose enrolment in a different faculty has been approved, has only one attempt to sit the first series of exams”.
