Course, seminar and examination equivalences

Equivalences (transfer credits) can be granted by the Dean’s Office for previous university studies whether a diploma has been obtained or not.

For Bachelor studies the number of transfer credits granted cannot exceed 60 ECTS.

For Master studies the number of transfer credits granted cannot exceed 30 ECTS for a programme of 90 ECTS, 40 ECTS for a programme of 120 ECTS and 60 ECTS for a programme of 180 ECTS.

Students wishing to obtain equivalences for their previous university studies should request, at the same time as the registration application, an equivalence application form from the Admissions Service of the University of Lausanne.

Equivalences can only be requested for the same level of studies.

The equivalence application form will be sent to the candidate together with the certificate of admission to registration.
