Thin section lab
The thin section lab is aimed at preparing thin sections of rocks and minerals. Hand specimens are first sawed and grinded. Successive steps of surface polishing are then required to make the samples suitable for analysis under polarizing or electron microscopes.
Request for thin sections or polishing jobs must be made using the corresponding formular. Users are also invited to read the lab rules.
