Research

The LINES centre follows an interdisciplinary research agenda and brings together sociologists, social psychologists and demographers interested in the life course. The research projects cover a wide range of topics, including family dynamics and migration, stratification and social mobility, work careers and the labour market, social change and collective identities. The different projects tend to feature a longitudinal and comparative dimension. Several projects employ large-scale survey data collected at the individual level (for instance the Swiss Household Panel or the European Social Survey).
