Introduction to phonetics

This course presents the basic concepts on the articulatory production of the sounds of the language and the principal divisions in which the system of the International Phonetic Alphabet (I.P.A.) classify them.

Once the phonetic alphabet mastered, you will probably wish to use it in your work : the Summer Institute of Linguistics proposes a whole battery of phonetic fonts, for Macintosh as for Windows.
