Excursions, social and cultural events

Currently the following excursions are part of the programme:

• One-week long study trip to the European institutions in Brussels;
• Two-day long trip to the international economic organizations in Geneva (WTO, UNCTAD, WIPO, EFTA etc.).
• In co-operation with the University of Vienna we are normally offering an optional trip to Vienna-based international organisations subject to availability and sufficient interest by students in Vienna. Our program has a privileged relationship with the University of Vienna's Law Schools which organizes a two-day-excursion to the international organizations in Vienna, after Geneva the second most center of (economic) international organizations in Europe, such as Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA),Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) andOPEC. You will have to organize your own travel and housing (our contact in Vienna may help) but you will be allowed to take part in the full programme as organized for the Vienna LLM students.

  • International Olympic Committee and the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne,
  • Ferney-Voltaire (Voltaire's Castle) near Geneva,
  • Coppet (Mme de Staël's Castle) near Lausanne,
  • Ministeries and international organisations in Berne,
  • Bank of International Settlement (BIS) in Basel,
  • Swiss National Bank and Stock-Exchange in Zurich,
  • Boat Trip on Lake Geneva and Visit of Evian (Evian Treaty of 1962 and Evian G8 Summit 2003),
  • Visit of Montreux (Montreux Treaty of 1936)
  • Rousseau in Geneva and in the Jura
  • etc.
