LN Annual Meeting (LNAM)
Since 2004 the Lemanic Neuroscience community gathers once a year for a meeting that brings together faculty, postdocs and graduate students from neuroscience labs in Geneva and Lausanne. The meeting is organized primarily as a graduate student activity for the students of the LN Doctoral School of the Universities of Lausanne and Geneva, and neuroscience doctoral students from the EPFL.
The meeting is co-sponsored by Lemanic Neuroscience program, involving the two doctoral programs and three institutions in the Lemanic area. The organization of the meeting rotates among the three institutions.
Between 150 and 200 participants attend posters sessions, plenary lectures by renowned invited speakers and short research talks by young Lemanic neuroscientists. An interesting social program organized by the students facilitates interactions among all participants.
During the first 5 years, from 2004 to 2008, the LNAM was held at Les Diablerets, a ski resort up in the mountains of the Vaud region, at the end of the summer break.
The LNAM'09 took place in Morges, in the Hotel La Longeraie, on Friday November 27th.
The LNAM'10 was held in Geneva, at the Centre International de Conference de Genève (CICG), on Friday October 29th.
From 2011 the LNAM takes place again in the mountains of Les Diablerets, always in September.
