I received my BSc and MSc degrees at the University of Turin. During my Master’s thesis I worked on the development of an algorithm for the automatic segmentation of cancer nodules in lung CT.
My PhD project is focusing the accurate characterization of anatomical properties of the human basal ganglia, structures involved in various neurological and psychiatric disorders, in particular Parkinson’s disease. In order to achieve optimal automated delineation of these structures I use multi-parameter magnetic resonance imaging maps using the computational frameworks of SPM.
