Jan/2013: One Ph.D. position in decision making joined at the EPFL and the Laboratoire de Recherche en Neuroimagerie (LREN) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Starting date as soon as possible.
The Ph.D. position is part of a project focusing on fMRI studies and computational models of human decision-making under uncertainty. The project will be completed under the direction of Dr. Kerstin Preuschoff at the Laboratoire de Recherche en Neuroimagerie (LREN) and the Computational Neuroscience Lab (LCN) at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The position requires a background in neurobiology, economics, psychology or computer science, and an interest in decision neuroscience and/or mathematical modeling of behavioral and neuroimaging data. Previous experience in neuroimaging techniques and fMRI data analysis and/or programming is a major advantage. Candidates should have an interest in designing and conducting experiments in decision neuroscience. Employment can begin immediately but is negotiable.

Dec/2012: Poste de médecin assistant / résident aîné

Nous recherchons un médecin enthousiaste pour travailler dans le cadre d’un programme soutenu par le Fonds National Suisse de la Recherche Scientifique, sous la responsabilité du Professeur Bogdan Draganski. Le but du projet est l’étude de l’anatomie et de la fonction des circuits cortico-sous-corticaux dans les syndromes épileptiques, par imagerie IRM fonctionnelle et morphologique.
Le candidat idéal serait un(e) médecin avec une expérience dans le domaine de la neuroimagerie ou des neurosciences computationnelles. Le travail consistera en l’analyse de données cliniques et neuropsychologiques en conjonction avec des données d’imagerie cérébrale morphologique et fonctionnelle (IRM quantitative morphologique et IRMf), en utilisant des méthodes statistiques univariées et multivariées. Le poste inclut une activité clinique à temps partiel (20%) à la consultation de Epileptologie/EEG. L’activité principale est partie intégrante du laboratoire de neuroimagerie LREN, une équipe multidisciplinaire ayant accès à des scanners IRM Siemens Tim Trio 3T and Siemens 7T exclusivement dédiés à la recherche (www.unil.ch/lren).
La durée de l’engagement est de 3 ans. L’entrée en fonction est négociable mais souhaitée dès mars 2013.
