I am Ph.D student at BIT (Biomedical Image Technologies), Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain), under the supervision of Prof. Andrés Santos Lleó and Prof. M. Jesús Ledesma-Carbayo since October 2010. On September 2011, I joined the LTS5 (Signal Processing Laboratory 5), École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) of Prof. Jean-Philippe Thiran under the supervision of Dr Meritxell Bach Cuadra, and funded by one Swiss Government Scholarships for Foreign Students.
Research interests
My research topics are diffusion magnetic resonance imaging segmentation and upsampling techniques, in the framework of the development of the Connectome Toolkit. My research interests are medical image registration, diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) segmentation and DWI acquisition.
Short Bio
I started my research career at CIBER-BBN (Centro de Investigación Biomédica En Red - Bioingeniería, Biomateriales y Nanomedicina), Spanish Public Ministry of Science and Innovation, on the EU project VPHTk (Virtual Physilogical Human Toolkit), under the supervision of Prof. Andrés Santos (2008-2010). Previously (2005-2008), I worked as Systems Administrator and Junior Developer on MP2P Technologies S.A., Madrid (Spain).
I obtained a M.Sc. on Electronic Systems for Smart Environments (September 2009) and finished the degree -equiv. to M.Sc.- of Telecommunications Engineering, specialization on Biomedical Engineering with Honours on September 2008. Both of them on Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain).
