The Doctoral Program Population Genomics

In the newly emerging field of Population Genomics researchers combine the fields of population genetics, deep genome and transcriptome sequencing, bioinformatics and ecological and evolutionary genomics. Thanks to the financial support offered from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) the Departments and Institutes of Ecology and Evolution of the Universities of Basel, Bern, Fribourg, and Lausanne decided to join their efforts and expertise to establish a interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in Population Genomics. Students accepted into the program perform their research project in one of the participating research groups,
according to their scientific interest. Students will obtain their Ph.D. from the University hosting their research group and receive a specific certificate from the program. The program is run in English.

The Doctoral Program in Population Genomics was a ProDoc - Training Module funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation from February 2010 - February 2014.
