Welcome to the Accommodation Service website of the University of Lausanne
Lausanne is a conurbation of 200,000 inhabitants. Despite its size it does not have a university campus and it is up to each individual to find somewhere to live.
Please note that the housing situation in the region is particularly difficult and the UNIL cannot guarantee accommodation to all of its students. Nevertheless it does everything in its power to find accommodation where possible.
There are several options in the search for accommodation:
- University halls of residence
- Our accommodation database (see below)
- Property managers/agents in Lausanne
- Our lists of rooms (for pre-registered students only) by sending an email to logement@unil.ch
Spring semester: lists available from the 1st of December
Autumn semester: lists available from the 1st of June

- For handicapped students, a limited number of appropriate housing solutions are available. For more information, please get in touch with the University’s Accommodation Service as soon as possible.
