Cécile Heim is a doctoral candidate at the University of Lausanne. She studied and worked at the University of Lausanne, the University of Glasgow, the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, and the State University of New York at Buffalo. She specializes in Indigenous studies and literatures, gender and feminist studies, and decolonial methodologies. More precisely, her PhD project investigates the representations of, and resistance to, violence against Indigenous women and girls in Louise Erdrich (Ojibwe), Frances Washburn (Dakota / Anishinaabe), Eden Robinson (Haisla / Heiltsuk), and Katherena Vermette (Métis). As doctoral candidate, she teaches “English Composition,” “Introduction to Literary Analysis,” and “Explication de texte.”
