His research focuses on twentieth century anglophone literature, with a particular focus on British and American modernism. He is currently finishing a first monograph titled Forms of Materiality in James Joyce’s Fiction, investigating the relation between animate and inanimate matter in the works of Joyce.
His current research project, funded by a Marie-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship, considers the notion of (in)hospitality in novels by Djuna Barnes, James Joyce, Nella Larsen, and Jean Rhys.
