Loesch Juliette

Juliette Loesch holds a PhD in English and Comparative Literature from the University of Lausanne (CH). Her PhD project, supervised by Prof. Martine Hennard Dutheil de la Rochère, analyses the transcreative dynamics of Oscar Wilde’s Salomé from the page to the stage, with an emphasis on Maurice Béjart’s ballet adaptations. She has published several articles on related topics, including “Staging the ‘Dance of the Seven Veils’. Three Variations on Oscar Wilde’s Salomé by Maurice Béjart” (in Translate, Illustrate, Rewrite, Stage, 2023), and she coedited conference proceedings on Traces et résonances. Ré-écrire, consigner, adapter la danse (2020) with Céline Gauthier and Lucas Serol.
