Presentation

Megan holds a Master’s degree in English language and literature from the University of Geneva. She will likely begin a PhD at the University of Oxford in the Fall of 2024. She specializes in British Romantic literature and her main research interest lies at the intersection of ecocriticism, New Historicism, phenomenology, and the politics of environmental aesthetics in Romantic writings, especially in novels, lyric poetry, letters, and travelogues. Her current research, which will drive her PhD thesis, focuses on the poetics of attention, awareness, and mindfulness in Romantic loco-descriptive writings, in relation to melancholy, creativity, and environmental aesthetics.
