Energy Homeostasis
- Whole-body composition (using the EchoMRI for the non-invasive analysis of lean mass, fat mass and body fluids)
- Food Intake and feeding control (time, quantity, pair-feeding) using the Phenomaster (TSE) online system
- Bomb calorimetry (to measure the energy content of feces, food, and other biological samples)
- Indirect calorimetry (using the Oxymax Comprehensive Lab Animal Monitoring System (CLAMS), 12 cages, to measure energy metabolism (VO2, VCO2, respiratory quotient, heat), feeding, drinking, urine and spontaneous locomotor activity)
- Body temperature (using the Bioseb rectal thermometer)
- Body temperature and Spontaneous locomotor activity (Online monitoring by telemetry using indwelling probes)
- Thermography (using the FLIR E95 thermal camera NEW !)
- Exercise (treadmill, can be coupled to indirect calorimetry to measure energy expenditure and substrate selection during exercise)
