Mission

The missions of the phenotypingservice include the phenotyping of engineered mice strains, the development of protocol for specific antibodies, as well as training and advising members of the CIG on the different available technologies.

Activities

  • Advice and collaboration on different CIG projects
  • Development of protocol tailored to each antibody
  • Training of CIG members on the different machines (Cryostat, Microtome, etc…)
  • Training of CIG members in histology practice-Test/benchmark the newly released products and technologies
  • Manage a stock of secondary antibodies for the phenotypinglaboratory and CIG members

Techniques

  • Dissection and Fixation-Inclusion in paraffin and freezing
  • Cutting of sections in paraffin and freezing
  • Fluorescence and Enzymatic immunohistochemistry techniquesIn Situ Hybridization-Usual topographic colorations ( H&E, RN, MG…)
  • Specific colorations (fat, elastic fibers, iron…)
  • Acquisition of pictures in transmission and fluorescence with theZeiss Axio Imager A 1 Microscope
