Research Interests
My research is driven by a fascination for exploring how gene and genome evolution impact organismal functions and adaptations, with a focus on insects and other arthropods. Genomics brings many new opportunities to address these questions, but also the challenges of extracting meaningful biological interpretations from the rapidly accumulating data. Overcoming these challenges requires the development of innovative computational approaches to support the investigation of evolutionary-functional correspondences and drive hypothesis generation for experimental testing.
